The "N" recruits Cohen for "South of Nowhere"

 

Newcomer Matt Cohen has just signed on with MTV's/Nickelodeon's new "N" network as a series regular on the new drama "South of Nowhere". Cohen will be playing the charismatic  golden boy "Aiden". Set in a fast-paced LA high school, "South of Nowhere" explores themes of family, friendship, sexuality and finding one's way in the world.  The show is produced by the award winning Tom Lynch Company.

Fox set for new season with "Hope and Faith" on ABC

 

After another highly successful year, "Hope and Faith" will be returning to ABC for the 2005-2006 season.  Megan Fox joined the comedy series last season as the role of "Sydney", a 16 year-old beauty whose hormones are at full throttle.  Fox plays the eldest daughter of Faith Ford.  

Fox was most recently released in Walt Disney Pictures’ feature film “Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen” in the lead role of “Carla Santini”, a lead in ABC Family’s MOW “Crimes of Fashion” and a recurring role in  the WB’s comedy “The Help”.  Her 2004 guest star appearances include CBS’s “Two And A Half Men”, and  ABC’s “Untitled Stein/McCall” comedy pilot.

Leigh set for "Reunion" with FOX

 

After taking a brief break from Fox to shoot a series lead role on the WB’s 2004 drama pilot “Rocky Point”, Chyler Leigh returns to FOX as a series lead on their 2005 one hour pilot, “Reunion”.  Leigh will star as “Carla”, the quirky good girl who we see transform throughout the emotional, dramatic series which follows her and her five closest friends from their high school graduation in 1986 to their 20th reunion.

 Leigh’s long-standing relationship with FOX includes series roles on the 2004 comedy pilot “Lucky Us”, “Girls Club” and “That 80’s Show”.  Feature credits include a starring role in Columbia/TriStar’s  “Not Another Teen Movie”.  Leigh’s credits also include a series regular role on ABC’s 2003 season of “The Practice”.

“Reunion” from Warner Bros. TV and Class IV Productions was written/created by Jon Harmon Feldman and will be directed by Jon Amiel.  The pilot’s Exec. Producers include Steve Pearlman, Andrew Plotkin and Jon Harmon Feldman.

"Manheim" lures Locke to the WB

 

Spencer Locke has just been cast as a series regular in the WB’s Untitled Flett & Ranberg/Manheim Project.  Locke will play “Crosby”, Manheim’s ultra status-conscious 13-year-old daughter.  When her family moves into a new neighborhood, Crosby struggles to keep her best foot forward among the young socialites at school while her single mother (Camryn Manheim) refuses to conform to the standards of the elitist neighborhood women.  The ½ hour pilot from Warner Bros. TV and The Tannenbaum Company will be exec. produced by Eric & Kim Tannenbaum, Chuck Ranberg & Anne Flett-Giordano and directed by Andrew Weyman. 

Most recently, Locke finished shooting the lead role of “Jenny” in Sony Pictures/Imagemovers’ feature film “Monster House” which was exec. produced by Robert Zemeckis and Steven Spielberg.  This past season, Locke has also been recurring as “Candida” on the Disney series “Phil of the Future”.

Stehlin joins "The Family Stone"

 

Newcomer, Savannah Stehlin, has been cast as “Elizabeth Trousdale” in the Fox 2000 feature film “The Family Stone”.  Stehlin will be playing the precocious and curious granddaughter of Diane Keaton and Craig T. Nelson.   The story evolves around a family gathering where outsider Sarah Jessica Parker is introduced by Stehlin’s uncle, Dermot Mulroney, only to be scrutinized when the family learns of Mulroney’s plans to propose marriage.  The film’s writer/director is Tom Bezucha and Michael London will produce.

Lockhart  set for "Albert Brooks"

 

11 year old, Emma Lockhart has been cast in the lead role of  Laura  in the "Untitled Albert Brooks Comedy.  In Brook's latest comedy, Lockhart plays the privileged, yet well-adjusted daughter of Brooks.

Lockhart's previous films include, the 2005 "Batman Begins"  in which Lockhart will be playing Young Rachel Dawes, Katie Holmes’ character, and a starring role  opposite Greg Germann in the feature film, "Special Ed", directed by Jeffrey Phelps.

Densmore delivers in "Clean"

 

Tricky, the frightening centaur of trip-hop, is reproduced in "Clean", the new film by director Olivier Assayas.  "Beackaway" is a title under oppressive low tension, in which Tricky becomes the mentor of its singer, Liz Densmore.  "Clean", which recently gained acclaim from the Cannes Film Festival, stars Nick Nolte, Beatrice Dalle, and Jeanne Balibar.

Locke takes on "Monster House"

 

Spencer Locke has landed a lead role in the Sony Pictues / Imagemovers' feature film "Monster House".

Locke has been cast as "Jenny", a bright, agressive, and entrepreneurial young girl.  She, along with her two male buddies, is determined to defeat the ravenous Nebbercracker house and its appetite for kids.  The film, which will be made using "performance capture" animation, will be exec produced by Robert Zemeckis and Steven Spielberg and directed by Gil Kenan.  The original screenplay for "Monster House" was written by Dan Harmon and Rob Schrab. 

This season, Locke made a guest-starring appearance on CBS's "Without A Trace" and has been recurring as "Bitsy" on the Nickelodeon series "Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide".

Leigh set for "Rocky Point"

 

Chyler Leigh has been tapped to star opposite Billy Campbell in the WB Network's midseason drama "Rocky Point."

"Rocky Point," from Warner Bros. TV and the "Blue Crush" duo of John Stockwell and Lizzy Weiss, centers on a young woman (Leigh) living on Hawaii's North Shore who takes in her estranged father (Campbell).  Leigh, whose credits include the series "That '80s Show," "girls club" and "The Practice" and the feature "Not Another Teen Movie," starred in Fox's pilot "Lucky Us" this past development season.

Fox commits to "Crimes of Fashion"

 

Megan Fox has been cast as a lead in ABC Family’s MOW “Crimes of Fashion” set to air in July 2004.  Fox will play “Candace Birch”, one of the bright lights of the fashion University. Candace is a conniving and scheming fashion student who is convinced that she’ll soon have her own line of CandaceWear.  “Crimes of Fashion” will be directed by Steven Robman and executive produced by Sheri Singer.

Megan was most recently released in Walt Disney Pictures’ feature film “Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen” in the lead role of “Carla Santini” and continues to recur as “Cassandra Ridgeway” in the WB’s comedy “The Help”.  Her 2004 guest star appearances include CBS’s “Two And A Half Men”, and she is currently in production on ABC’s “Untitled Stein/McCall” comedy pilot.

Gonzalo set for "Skipping the Holidays"

 

Julie Gonzalo has been cast as a lead in Revolution Studios feature film “Skipping The Holidays”.  Gonzalo will play ‘Blair’, the daughter of Luther (Tim Allen) and Nora Krank (Jamie Lee Curtis).  Blair unexpectedly returns home for the holidays from the Peace Corps with her new fiancé.  Eager to show her fiancé a real Christmas tradition, Blair’s little surprise is upset when she discovers that her family has canceled Christmas in order to save money for a cruise.  Also starring in the film is Dan Akroyd as ‘Vic Froymeyer’ the unofficial boss of Blair’s hometown neighborhood.  The film will be directed by Joe Roth.

Leigh Gets "Lucky"

 

Chyler Leigh has reunited with FOX on their 2004 comedy pilot “Lucky Us”.  Chyler has landed the starring role of the free-wheeling conservative young architect, Lucy Reed.  Leigh most recently appeared as a series regular on ABC’s 2003 season of “The Practice”. 

Leigh’s long-standing relationship with FOX includes series roles on “Girls Club” and “That 80’s Show”.  Feature credits include a starring role in Columbia/TriStar’s  “Not Another Teen Movie”. 

“Lucky Us” is written by Holly Hester and the Executive Producers are Neil Moritz, Marty Edelstein and Dawn Parouse.

Gonzalo Makes Three in "Me Me Me".
 

Julie Gonzalo has been cast in Twentieth Century Fox / UPN’s  pilot “Me Me Me”.  “Me Me Me” is a half hour comedy, in which Gonzalo will play ‘Pearl’, an earnest NYU pre-med student who moves to New York from St. Louis and lives with her self absorbed, ambitious sister ‘Tracy’.  Through a series of hilarious parodies, her sister Tracy and her sister’s best friend ‘Donna’, poorly attempt to transform ‘Pearl” into a jet-setting vixen.

Walt Disney Pictures releases "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen".
 

Megan Fox can be see in theatres nationwide in Buena Vista's new feature "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen".  Fox's role  "Carla Santini" is the beautiful, sophisticated teenager that is the intense rival to "Lola" (Lindsay Lohan).  As boxoffice numbers climb, the "New Times" rates Megan's performance as "splendid".

 Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn prep for 20th Century Fox's "Underdogs".

Julie Gonzalo has just been cast in 20th Century FOX’s feature film “Underdogs”.  “Underdogs” stars Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Christine Taylor and Justin Long and is about a group of misfits who band together to save their gym from a larger corporate competitor by entering a dodgeball tournament in Vegas.  Gonzalo plays “Amber”, the object of the misfit Justin’s adoration (played by Justin Long).  Justin comes to the aid of Amber at a Vegas cheerleading competition, wins the heart of his dream-girl and both wind up triumphant after all.

Revolution Studio's "Cheer Up" set for October shoot in Austin, Texas.

Shannon Marie Woodward, has just landed the role of Margo Sharp in Revolution Studio’s new comedy “Cheer Up” starring Tommy Lee Jones.  Woodward’s character strives to strengthen  the bond with her father, F.B.I. Agent Sharp (Tommy Lee Jones) and becomes entangled in Sharps quest to protect a group of cheerleaders from potential harm. Woodward’s recent credits include a 2003 Guest Star role on Fox’s Boston Public and a Guest Star role on Lifetime’s 2003 pilot “Follow The Leeds”.

Newcomer, Marcus Johns, has just landed a lead role in Artisan Entertainment's "The Punisher" starring John Travolta and Thomas Jane.  10 year old Johns has been cast as "Will Castle", son of "Frank Castle / The Punisher" (played by Thomas Jane).  "The Punisher" is currently shooting in Tampa, Florida.

Winslow Productions “A Dog and his Boy” shooting in Miami, FL this summer.

12 year old Sammy Kahn has just landed a starring role ("Zach") in Winslow Productions' "A Dog and his Boy" with Michael Windslow (Police Academy).   Producer Scott Rosenfelt ("Smoke Signals", "Home Alone", "Teen Wolf", "Mystic Pizza"...) and Writer/Director Oren Goldman will begin shooting in Miami, FL late June, 2003.

Warner Bros. Pictures begins Production of "A Cinderella Story" in Los Angeles.

 

Julie Gonzalo is currently in production on Warner Brothers' 2003 feature film "A Cinderella Story" directed by Mark Rosman and starring Hilary Duff.  Gonzalo plays opposite Duff in the lead role "Shelby Cummings," the undisputed queen of her high school's cool group.
