Sharon Lane has been a talent manager and involved in film development for over fifteen years. Ms. Lane is President of Lane Management Group, Inc. She also is President of LMG Pictures, Inc., the Managing Member of Canvas Pictures, LLC. Ms. Lane has a diversified background in the entertainment industry, beginning with her own experiences as a film and television actress. In the early 1980's, Ms. Lane developed advertising campaigns that led to her rapid rise from commercial copywriter to Creative Director for Florida based advertising agencies and production companies. She went on to become a Development Executive with a Los Angeles film company, She later headed up a company that managed directors of music videos. In 1992, Sharon Lane established Young Actors Studio, Inc., for the purpose of coaching, training and preparing young actors for work in the film and television industry. Eventually, she took on the task of personally managing and further nurturing the careers of a select group of outstanding young actors. In 2002, Ms. Lane brought on her first Writer/Director client for representation. His name was Joseph Greco, and he was the writer of the screenplay CANVAS. Battling the industry’s skepticism about a first-time feature director was no easy task, and it fueled Ms. Lane’s increasing determination to make this film. With passion and unfailing perseverance, Ms. Lane ultimately took on the role of Producer and piloted a course for CANVAS through the world of Indie filmmaking. Ms. Lane continues to focus on the growth and success of her clients at Lane Management Group, Inc., while she pursues the development of several new feature films.
